The shortest war in history lasted 37 minutes!

This war, known as the "bombardment of Zanzibar" opposed the UK in Zanzibar, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean as part of Tanzania. Indeed, 27 August 1869, the British needed only 37 minutes to invade Zanzibar.
