President Nixon had a speech if Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin would have remained blocked on the Moon!

And if the conquest of the Moon had badly occurred 43 years ago? If Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin would never have returned on Earth, US president Richard Nixon had
prepared a poignant speech in the funeral form of praise to pay homage to the two astronauts.
Here the integrality of this speech:
“The destiny wanted that the men who went to explore the Moon in peace will remain there to rest in peace. These courageous men, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin, know that there is no hope for their recovery. But they also know that their sacrifice is carrying hope for humanity. These two men sacrifice their life for the noblest intention of humanity: the research of the truth and comprehension. They will be cried by their family and friends, the nation, the people of the world, and the Earth which dared to send two of his/her sons in the unknown. By their exploration, they pushed the people of the Earth to feel one; by their sacrifice, they reinforce fraternity between the men. Formerly, the men looked at stars and saw their heroes in the constellations. Today, we make the same thing, but our heroes are heroic men of flesh and blood. Others will follow and surely succeed in returning. The search of the man will not be disavowed. But these men were the first and will remain the first in our hearts. Because each human being which will look at the Moon in the nights coming will know that men are for always some share in this other world.”
