Louis XIX was King of France for only 20 minutes


Louis XIX (Louis-Antoine, Duke of Angoulême), King of France and Navarre, was the eldest son of the Count of Artois (the future Charles X King of France) and Marie-

After the death of his uncle in 1824, Louis-Antoine became Dauphin and heir apparent to his father when the latter left power August 2, 1830, Louis-Antoine became Louis XIX, King of France and Navarre.

His reign lasted only a few minutes, 20 minutes exactly between the abdication of his father and his in favor of his nephew, the Duke of Bordeaux.
